Impressive #912 Custom Pirate Ship Playhouse

This was an installation done recently in Hudson, NC.  It was essentially a #912 Pirate Ship Playset with the swing beam upgraded to a 4 position instead of the standard 3 position.  The black horse swings and the red/black pirate flags were added by the customer after the installation was complete, and are not our products.

The main obstacle for this installation was the sloped backyard.  We measured approximately 4 ft of vertical variation in the ground from one side to the other.  Luckily, we have a local landscaper in the area that addresses these situations for at a minimal cost.  He came in and graded about a 31′ long by 28′ wide flat space for us to work with.  We laid down landscape fabric before installing the foundation of the pirate ship playhouse.  After the entire pirate ship playset was completed, the landscaper returned to lay down a wooden mulch play area.  He used a bedder to create a defined border around the outside edge of the wooden mulch play pit.  The customers also requested that the landscaper apply grass seed and sew the remainder of exposed dirt surface. We think it turned out great, and the customers were very satisfied!

This #912 Pirate Ship Playset was factory stained with 2 coats of kid friendly stain and sealant.  The ship itself measures 8′ wide and 18′ feet long. The decks are 5′ high and 7′ high.  The gang plank mounted on the port side is 12′ long, and the heavy duty scoop slide on the starboard side measures 10′ long.  The Towering swing beam off the bow sits 10′ from the ground below.  Talk about maximum swing action!  For more information about the #912 Pirate Ship Playhouse, or to request a quote, click here.
